Day trip to Ashland, Nebraska

In March Brit and I made a trip up to Lincoln, Nebraska to visit our friend Tyler for the weekend. About 40 minutes away from Lincoln is the cute town of Ashland. So on Saturday we decided to head over to explore for the day.

We started our morning at Fariner Bakery. This is the cutest bakery with amazing pastries and specialty coffees.

The bakery wears multiple hats and also serves as a wine merchant and specialty market with lots of fun goodies to purchase.

After coffee we continued to explore the main street and popped into a couple of cute shops. We explored Postscript where you can get more coffee, paper goods, books and cute trinkets.

We then made our way over to Salt Creek Mercantile. This store has a gorgeous interior and is full of vintage items, homewares and decor to browse through.

One of my favorite parts of the store were the many beautiful dried flower bouquets they had for sale. We had to get one to bring home!

After we explored most of the shops along Main Street we found a great brewery, Glacial Till, to relax for awhile. The brewery specializes in ciders and has some pretty fun flavors to taste and take home! For our last stop of the day we found a spot to eat and watch the KU basketball game. KU unfortunately lost, but the day was a fun adventure!. We love getting to explore new places so close to home and experience the charm of small towns and local businesses. We will definitely be making a trip back to Ashland.
